Join Groups
Browse all groups on GupShup by clicking on Groups in the top navigation bar. Click on Join button to join a group and receive group messages on your mobile. To join a group from your mobile phone by SMS, send JOIN followed by the group name to 567678 from your mobile.

Premium Groups
Join premium groups on finance, jokes, shayari and many other topics. Premium groups are created and managed by GupShup community members like you. SMS greetings
Send SMS Greetings to your friends, family, business partners or colleagues by SMS. Wish your loved ones on festivals and special occasions or express your feelings with your friends. SMS Greetings can be sent to most mobile phones and cost as low as Rs. 3 per greeting. You must add credits to your SMS GupShup prepaid account to send SMS greetings. Fast SMS, longer message posts
Now you can send group messages upto 260 characters long for Rs.0.20 per SMS, using our paid SMS service. These SMS are sent with higher priority and will reach your recipients faster. Join Groups
GupShup have a variety of groups to choose from. The best way to browse
through the various groups is from the GupShup Home Page.
Once you join a group, you will be able to receive messages instantly
A few good things:
From your Phone
To join a group, SMS the following to 567678: JOIN groupname
For example:JOIN CricketNews
Where CricketNews is the groupname.
From the Web
1. Log on to GupShup online
2. Visit the web page of the group that to wish to join.
3. Click the Subscribe button on the group header to join the group.
Create Group
It's really easy to start a GupShup group. All you need to do is create a group, invite a few friends and start posting. You can post to your group whenever you feel like it from your phone or from the web interface

Start your own GupShup group from your mobile phone in three easy steps:

SMS to 567678: CREATE yourgroupname
For example:

CricketNews is the group name.

From the website
You can also create a group on GupShup website when creating an account or clicking on Create New button on your MyGupShup page. You can create up to 5 different groups from the website.

Here's a list of commands that can help you use GupShup from your mobile phone.
All messages/commands should be sent to 567678:
Basic Commands
CREATE
- Start a GupShup group
Format: CREATE groupname
Example:
CREATE FoodSafari
(FoodSafari is a sample group name, use your own group name. Group name must contain alphabets. Please avoid spaces.)
JOIN
- Join a Gupshup group
Format: JOIN groupname
Example:
JOIN Thakkarism
(Thakkarism is a sample group name, use the group name that you want to join.)
INVITE
- Invite friends to your group
Format: INVITE phone-no.s
Example:
INVITE 9876543210 9200000000
(The numbers above are sample numbers, please use numbers of your friends.)
POST
- Post a message to your group
Format: Your SMS message....
Example:
The sun is shining, lovely day!
(This is not really a command, to post your message, just send your message to 567678.)
LEAVE
- Unsubscribe from a Gupshup group
Format: LEAVE groupname
Example:
LEAVE Thakkarism
(Thakkarism is a sample group name, use the group name that you want to unsubscribe from.)

What are Credits?
Credits are SMS GupShup's currency. You can use credits to purchase subscriptions to premium groups, send SMS greetings to your friends and family send ads-free SMS messages or access other paid features on SMS GupShup.
Typically, each credit costs one (1) Indian Rupee and is denoted as Rs. 1 in your prepaid account. SMS GupShup credits have no monetary value, and cannot be used to purchase products or services other than those offered by us.
Prepaid account
Your prepaid account displays your available credits that can be used to purchase paid services offered by SMS GupShup. You cannot use SMS GupShup credits to purchase content or services offered by your mobile phone carrier.

GupShup credits can be used for a growing list of premium services offered by GupShup, like :

- Paid message posts: Want to send long messages to your group but don't know how? Now you can post messages, greater than 140 characters, all the way to 260 characters in length, and get them delivered really fast, all this for just a token fee.
- SMS Pokes: Pictures speak louder than words. Want to 'Hug' someone, 'Kiss', 'Kick' or 'Slap', on the mobile phone? Then SMS Pokes are the coolest way to do it. Send pokes in quick easy steps.
Recharge
To purchase additional credits, you must login to your SMS GupShup account and recharge your prepaid account. You will be asked to select amount of credits you wish to purchase and a payment method. We support a many different payment methods including VISA/Mastercard credit cards, Netbanking, and cash cards such as ItzCash and Zipcash.
Transactions History
All your purchases on SMS GupShup are displayed on your transaction history page for quick review. You can go to your transaction history page by clicking on Manage Account link after logging into your SMS GupShup account.
